PASTORAL REFERENCE LETTER AND APPLICATION

PASTORAL REFERENCE LETTER AND APPLICATION

Please read carefully the following notes before you complete the Registration Form.

WHO CAN APPLY?
►Parishioners who live within the boundaries of St. Fidelis. However, membership in the Parish by registration and domicile does not qualify you for a pastoral letter.
A Pastoral reference letter is given to those who actively participate in the sacramental life of the church.
If you do not attend weekend Masses at St. Fidelis on a regular basis, we advise you to begin attending Mass on weekends and participate actively in the sacramental life of the church. A candidate who does not attend weekend Mass will be asked to wait up to four months before s/he can obtain a reference letter from the parish.

►Those who attend weekend Masses at St. Fidelis on a regular basis, even though they live outside the territorial boundaries of St. Fidelis, can apply.

►What should be avoided is asking for a reference if you are not connected to the church community/parish and/or do not know the priest personally.
Catholic schools need teachers, chaplains and principals who are committed to the faith, who know and appreciate the difference between Public and Catholic schools. Teachers at Catholic schools are important witnesses to the faith, in the various aspects and parts of their lives, personally, at school, with their families, in their parishes and publicly.

►How do I know if I live within the territorial boundaries of St. Fidelis?
